I would definitely like to go backward from William if I can find the information to do so. There are a handful of Nodwells mentioned in English records in the 1500-1600s, and I suspect our Irish cousins must have moved there from England at some point. - jennifer Mon, 02 Mar 2009 02:27:02 +0100 ... http://genealogy.nodwell.net/ngp-family-stories/the-family-nodwell/101-william-nodwell#comment-18 I have read this geneological tree with great interest. I inherited a family history put together by R.D. Nodwell in the 1930s or 40s and have tired to make it more complete with research in Ireland and Canada, but your work ties it in much more completely than I was able to do. It provides a clear link between the New Brunswick NOdwells and my lineage from Ontario. I had long suspected that Matthew and William were somehow related, but could not be certain that Matthew was William's son from an earlier marriage. There are still many murky twists and turns to be worked out, but thanks for this.
